This practice package has been developed to provide samples of the actual questions candidates will encounter during the management consulting entrance test, including the McKinsey Problem Solving Test and the BCG Potential Test.
This package assesses your ability to solve business problems using deductive, inductive, and quantitative reasoning.
Our PST materials are divided into 2 main parts: (1) Practice by Type and (2) Practice Case
- The Practice by type package is designed to familiarize you with all question types and train you to approach each type in an effective and systematic way. This package contains 70 questions divided into 6 question types, 20 of them are dedicated to Reading Facts – the most common question type in PST
- The Practice Case aims to prepare you for the real test as they closely mirror the format of the sample test from McKinsey. This package contains 130 questions in 5 full practice tests (26 questions each). You can download a free sample of the test with 9 questions here.
All of our materials are presented with full keys and detailed explanations.
For this package, your study should be divided into 2 stages. You can go through each stage one by one or follow a more flexible approach, whichever you find fit with your learning style.
- Introductory: Do the Practice by Type in whichever order you feel the most natural for you. Divide each question type into small hurdles, 5 or 10 questions each, and do them without time limit. Target 100% accuracy. Any score less than 100% is considered as failed. When you can consistently pass hurdles, try to reduce the time. Make sure to go through each question at least twice and check the keys closely even if your answer is right.
- Standard: Set the time limit to 1 hour for each practice test and try to increase the number of correct answers within the pre-targeted time allowed. A 70% score or higher should be targeted. Make sure not to use any electronic devices, and to go through each test at least three times.
